Strippit / LVD Turret Punch
The iconic line "Would you like to play a game?" from the movie Wargames may make us chuckle, but working on vintage CNC equipment from the 1980s is like stepping back in time. Surprisingly, there are still many of these machines churning out punched sheets of steel, even after 30 years or more. However, one of the main challenges with older Strippit Turret Punches is the wide variation in the type and manufacturer of ball screws used. This lack of standardization is one reason why Ballscrew Guys pricing on this equipment is slightly higher compared to Amada Turret Punches. Despite the challenges, we remain committed to providing quality ball screw repair and replacement services for these vintage machines.

Strippit Ball Nut
One of the issues with Strippit turret punch ball screws are often more difficult to access in the machine. Often quite a lot of surgery is required to get access to the screw. It is not uncommon in some models where the entire screw needs to be pulled to machine to effectively service it. Once out of the machine, these screws are not difficult to rebuild.
